Job summary

Pearce from CBRE is seeking an Experienced Critical Power Field Technician (UPS Field Service Engineer) to support customers throughout the DFW region. This role involves preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and commissioning of UPS and battery systems in data centers, telecom, healthcare, and other critical environments.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of hands-on UPS experience, strong electrical knowledge, and excellent customer-facing communication.

Qualifications

3+ years hands-on experience servicing UPS systems and related electrical infrastructure.
Experience with equipment from Eaton, Vertiv/Liebert, Schneider Electric/APC, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, ABB, or comparable critical power platforms.
Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
Strong understanding of AC/DC electrical theory and power distribution.
Willingness to travel within the service territory including overnight stays.
Strong customer-facing communication and safety focus.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on UPS systems and battery plants.
Diagnose electrical and control faults using schematics and diagnostic tools.
Install, commission, and replace UPS systems and battery strings.
Respond to emergency service calls and restore operations safely and efficiently.
Develop customer relationships through technical expertise and service delivery.
Mentor junior technicians and participate in field training.
