Job summary

Pearce is seeking an Experienced Critical Power Field Technician (UPS Field Service Engineer) to service customers across Richmond, Virginia and surrounding areas. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on UPS, battery systems, DC power, PDUs, STS units, and related power equipment in mission-critical environments such as data centers and telecom facilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years hands-on UPS, battery, DC power, or data center infra experience.
• Experience with Eaton, Vertiv/Liebert, Schneider Electric/APC, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, ABB preferred.
• Able to read electrical schematics and technical docs with strong safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on UPS and related power equipment.
• Diagnose faults using schematics, test gear, and manufacturer docs; restore operation.
• Install, commission, and substitute UPS batteries and related power infrastructure.
• Respond to emergencies; maintain safety, quality, and documentation.
