Job summary

Pearce is seeking an Experienced Critical Power Field Technician to service UPS systems, battery plants, DC power systems, and related critical power equipment across the Dallas area. The role emphasizes safety, troubleshooting expertise, and excellent customer service in mission-critical environments such as data centers and telecom facilities.

You will diagnose faults, install and commission equipment, and support field operations with a focus on reliability and professional communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience servicing UPS systems, battery systems, DC power equipment, generators, switchgear, or data center infrastructure.
• Experience with major manufacturers (Eaton, Vertiv/Liebert, Schneider Electric/APC, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, ABB) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, troubleshooting, and repairs on UPS systems, battery plants, DC power systems, and related equipment.
• Diagnose electrical faults using schematics and test equipment.
• Install, commission, and replace UPS systems and battery strings.
• Respond to emergency service calls and restore systems safely.
• Document service reports and maintain customer communications.
• Mentor junior technicians and support field training.
