Carter Lumber is seeking an Outside Sales Representative in Michigan to build and maintain relationships with local contractors, builders and remodelers. You’ll identify opportunities, prepare quotes, and manage projects from sale to close while representing our full line of building materials and services.

This role rewards a proven sales track record with commission-based earnings and room for growth within a multi-brand, family-owned company.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales is required.
• Knowledge of home building basics.
• Create material estimates/quotes and special orders.
• Open new accounts regularly (monthly/quarterly).
• Learn to read blueprints and provide material take-off lists.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
• Attend HBA/builder/company functions as required.

Responsabilités

• Find and close sales of our full line of building materials and installed services with local contractors, builders, and remodelers.
• Manage each sold job and maintain relationships with customers.
• Collect and update information on customers’ product use and trends.
• Visit job sites as needed and maintain schedules.
• Provide ongoing communication and follow-through for success.
