Carter Lumber in Indiana is seeking an Outside Sales Representative to build and maintain relationships with local contractors, builders, and remodelers. You will sell the full line of building materials and installed services, manage projects after sale, and visit job sites as needed.

This role offers salary plus commission with unlimited earning potential and requires strong communication, knowledge of home-building basics, reading blueprints, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales.
• Knowledge of home building basics.
• Create material estimates/quotes and special orders.
• Open new accounts on a monthly/quarterly basis.
• Learn to read blueprints and provide material take off lists.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong planning and organizational skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities
