Job summary

Traditions of Lafayette is seeking a Unit Coordinator to support the Wellness Director with scheduling across the nursing department in our assisted living community in Lafayette, IN. You will ensure accurate rosters, collaborate with the nursing team and fill open shifts with current staff as needed.

Ideal candidates have prior Unit Coordinator experience, strong communication, attention to detail, and proficiency with computer-based scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must have license appropriate for unit coordination.
• Experience as Unit Coordinator preferred.
• Willing to be on-call as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist Wellness Director with all scheduling needs.
• Create schedules for all areas of the nursing department.
• Collaborate with the nursing team.
• Fill open shifts with current staff using creative methods.
• Be on-call and respond as needed.

Unit Coordinator Duties and Responsibilities

• Recent experience as an Unit Coordinator in an assisted living community preferred
• Will assist the Wellness Director with all the scheduling needs and work directly with them
• Must be able to do schedules for all areas of the nursing department
• Should be able to work in collaboration with the entire nursing team
• Must be able to fill open positions on the schedule with current staff through creative methods
• Must be detail oriented, computer literate and have excellent communication skills
• Should have great 'people skills'
• Should be able to be okay to be ‘on-call’
