Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC in the United States is seeking a Trimmer/Climber Foreperson to oversee daily field operations, assign crew tasks, and enforce safety protocols on job sites.

Responsibilities include training crew, coordinating with supervisors, obtaining access from property owners, maintaining records, and promoting good customer relations while controlling costs. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Ability to read drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Capable of multi-tasking and working with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after receiving orders from a General Foreperson/Supervisor.
• Conducts field training/retraining for crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per OSHA guidelines and company policies; conducts safety training.
• Discusses access, power interruption, and work scope with property owners; refers complex cases to the General Foreperson.
• Obtains oral or written permission from property owners to perform work.
• Maintains good customer relations through successful completion of tasks and professional crew conduct.
• Investigates minor incidents or property damage and settles small claims as directed.
• Maintains crew records, timesheets, and reports; reports on incidents and equipment issues.
• Controls crew costs via efficient use of personnel, methods, and equipment.
• Provides reports on orders completed, units of work, and crew hours to supervisors.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments as needed; sets up safety barriers and signage.
• Inspects and arranges repairs for tools, trucks, and other equipment.
• Keeps work areas and trucks clean; ensures DOT maintenance on vehicles.
