Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Trimmer/Climber Foreperson to oversee daily crew operations, assign work after supervisor orders, and enforce safety standards in the field. The role involves coaching crew members, coordinating with property owners, and maintaining records of work performed.

The position requires 18+ years of age, a valid driver’s license, the ability to work at heights, and strong leadership with attention to safety and customer relations.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Understanding of drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after orders from a General Foreperson/Supervisor.
• Conducts field training/retraining for crew on new job units.
• Enforces safe work practices per OSHA and company policies; conducts safety training.
• Discusses access and work scope with property owners; refers complex cases to General Foreperson.
• Obtains permission from property owners to perform required work.
• Maintains good customer relations through completed work and crew conduct.
• Provides reports on orders completed, crew time, and incidents to supervisors.
• Manages crew costs and efficient use of resources.
• Furnishes reports and coordinates with utility representatives as needed.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways.
• Sets up barriers, warning signs, and hazard controls.
• Inspects and arranges repair of tools, trucks, and equipment.
• Maintains housekeeping on truck/worksite; ensures DOT maintenance on vehicles.
• Keeps informed on equipment standards and company policies; follows EEO/AA guidance.
• Carries out Trimmer/Climber tasks as required.
