Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a skilled troubleshooter who can diagnose field anomalies in autonomous maritime systems. You will trace issues to the correct subsystem, reproduce with real data, and validate fixes in hardware-in-the-loop environments before code ships.

Expect to work across Rust, C++, Python, or Go with CI-driven workflows. Applicants should have strong debugging instincts, systems-level fluency with Linux, and experience with observability tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK

Qualifications

  • Experience debugging code under time pressure with incomplete information.
  • Familiarity with Rust, modern C++, Python, or Go to read and fix bugs.

Responsibilities

  • Take field-reported anomalies and determine the actual subsystem involved.
  • Reproduce issues using recorded data and visualization tools; do not guess.
  • Use existing metrics/log infrastructure to reconstruct state at failure moments.
  • Confirm fixes in simulated or hardware-in-the-loop environments before deployment.
  • Write fixes in the relevant language with tests and CI integration.
  • Determine root cause vs. configuration vs. deployment issues; implement systemic fixes.
  • Document root cause and fix for long-term learnings and on-call playbooks.
