Job summary

Anduril Industries seeks a seasoned engineer to debug and fix field-reported anomalies in autonomous maritime systems. You will reproduce data streams, isolate subsystems, and ship robust fixes with tests, across languages such as Rust, C++, Python or Go. Expect close hardware collaboration and integration with observability tooling.

You’ll work under time pressure to determine root causes, write clear post-mortems, and ensure fixes survive hardware-in-the-loop simulations before deployment.

Qualifications

• Real experience debugging code under time pressure with incomplete information.
• Comfort reading and fixing bugs in Rust, C++, Python or Go.
• Familiarity with observability tooling and log systems.

Responsibilities

• Take field anomalies and determine the subsystem responsible, not just the report.
• Reproduce issues using recorded data and visualization tools.
• Use metrics and logs to reconstruct system state at failure.
• Verify fixes in hardware-in-the-loop or simulated environments before real vehicles.
• Write fixes with subsystem-appropriate languages and tests, via CI/CD.
• Diagnose whether bugs, config, or deployment mismatches are root causes.
• Document root causes and fixes for future reference.
• Push back when architecture needs subsystem changes to fix root causes.
