Job summary

USIC is seeking diligent field technicians to locate underground utilities in designated areas, accurately marking locations and documenting each locate. You will work with a company vehicle and be part of a team dedicated to safety and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Entry-level training is provided, with opportunities for advancement. The role requires outdoor work, the ability to lift up to 75 lbs, and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
• Able to work in a confined space; walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to distinguish between colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities.
• Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, as well as maps and prints.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Correctly locate underground utilities in designated areas and mark locations.
• Complete necessary documentation and photograph each locate.
• Workday field assignments with a focus on safety and efficiency.
• Be available for overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as required.
