Job summary

USIC is seeking an outdoor locator to identify and mark underground utilities across designated areas. You will work in the field with a company-provided vehicle, complete required locate tickets, and document each locate with photos.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Able to read, reference locate tickets, maps and prints.
• Able to walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Correctly, safely, and efficiently locate underground utilities and mark the location.
• Complete necessary documentation and photograph each locate.
• Work a 48-hour turnaround time on many locates and be available for day-after-holidays and some weekends.
• Communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.
