Job summary

USIC is seeking an outdoor-focused Underground Locator to work in the field using a company vehicle and equipment. You will locate utilities, document findings, and communicate with crews and homeowners in a fast-paced environment.

No locating experience required, though preferred; training is provided. This daytime, full-time role offers comprehensive benefits, competitive pay at $18.00 per hour, and opportunities for advancement within a respected national leader in damage prevention.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Able to walk, bend, and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Able to distinguish colors used to identify wiring and mark underground utilities.
• Able to read, understand, and reference locate tickets, maps and prints.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities safely and efficiently, marking locations and documenting findings.
• Photograph each locate and complete required paperwork in designated area.
