Job summary

USIC is seeking outdoor, safety‑minded field technicians to locate underground utilities. You will work with a company vehicle, perform mark-outs, and document each locate with photos. Training is provided and advancement opportunities exist.

Candidates should be ready for day shifts, overtime, weekends, and on-call duties. A valid license and clean driving record are required, along with the ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Able and willing to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Proficiency with technology.
• Available to work overtime, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed.
• Able to pass a drug screen (safety-sensitive position).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in confined spaces.
• Able to read locate tickets and maps, and reference prints.
• Able to communicate clearly with colleagues, customers, contractors, and homeowners.

Responsibilities

• Locate underground utilities correctly, safely, and efficiently.
• Search designated areas, mark locations, document, and photograph each locate.
