Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited is seeking a Mobile Equipment Electrician for our Pogo operation in Alaska. The role involves electrical and instrumentation installation and maintenance of machinery under the Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, on a 21-on/21-off rotating camp schedule.

Candidates should have experience in vehicle/mobile equipment electrical systems, mining/automotive familiarity, and the ability to interpret electrical drawings. Background checks and post-off physicals apply.

Qualifications

• Experience in installation and maintenance of vehicle/mobile equipment electrical and automation systems.
• Practical mining/automotive industry experience.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting and diagnostic experience.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings.
• Demonstrated application of safe working procedures and inspection techniques.
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively.
• Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices.
• Awareness of MSHA Act & Regulations.
• Pass a background check and post offer physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform high standard auto electrical execution in a safe, timely manner.
• Diagnose and fault-find electrical systems and components.
• Provide technical advice and support to maintenance team.
• Ensure workmanship meets standards, tolerances, and testing before handover.
• Maintain effective handover between crews regarding maintenance plans.
• Identify correct parts and equipment for planned and unplanned jobs.
