Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited is seeking an Underground Miner for our Alaska operation on a 28 days on/14 days off rotation. The role supports underground electricians, involves manual labor, and offers an extended mine-life with a competitive pay package.

Responsibilities include general labor, equipment readiness, and ensuring safety compliance under MSHA rules. Camp accommodations and travel assistance are provided.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge.
• Clear reading and speaking of English.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Willingness to adapt to improved procedures and practices.
• Ability to lead and train new team members.
• Solid understanding of safety rules, MSHA requirements.
• Ability to install services and underground infrastructure.
• Ability to monitor and control ground conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate underground equipment safely and efficiently under supervision.
• Perform general laboring and housekeeping as required.
• Ensure tools and equipment are serviceable and safe.
• Communicate clearly on two-way radio.
• Conduct safety checks and incident reporting per MSHA.
• Assist with fault finding and preventative maintenance.
• Assist with installation of underground infrastructure and dewatering.
