Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited is seeking a Light Vehicle Mechanic for our Pogo operation in Alaska on a 21 day on/off rotating schedule. The role focuses on maintaining underground and surface light vehicles and related equipment, ensuring downtime is minimised and reliability is maintained.

Applicants should have 2–5 years in heavy mining mechanical work, strong fault-finding abilities, and the capacity to read and interpret technical manuals.

Qualifications

• Excellent fault-finding skill and ability to carry out preventative and breakdown maintenance.
• 2–5 years mechanical experience in heavy mining applications.
• Basic literacy in reading and writing English.

Responsibilities

• Undertake diagnostic, breakdowns, follow-up work and PMs to a high standard, safely and promptly.
• Provide technical advice and support to Maintenance team members.
• Ensure workmanship meets standards and tolerances and test equipment before handover.
• Identify parts and equipment for planned and unplanned jobs and assist with prioritised breakdowns.
