Job summary

Northern Star Resources Limited is hiring an Underground Electrical Service Crew member for our Pogo operation in Delta Junction, Alaska, on a 28 days on / 14 days off rotating schedule with day and night shifts up to 12+ hours, living at a remote camp. The role focuses on safe, efficient underground tasks, general labor, tool safety and radio communication.

No electrical experience is required, with a strong emphasis on safety, teamwork and growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Basic mechanical knowledge is required.
• Good communication skills, including reading and speaking English.
• Basic computer literacy is expected.
• Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices.
• Ability to provide leadership and training to new team members.

Responsibilities

• Operate underground equipment safely and support Underground Electricians.
• Perform general labor tasks and maintain work area housekeeping.
• Ensure tools and equipment are serviceable and safe.
• Communicate clearly on two-way radio and follow MSHA safety rules.
• Assist with fault finding and preventative maintenance.
