Qualifications

• Two years of practical experience in underground or heavy equipment service.
• Completion of an accredited apprenticeship or one year of technical education.
• Underground mining experience is desirable for safety and procedures.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for complex machinery.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and safety docs.
• Commitment to ongoing training and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive maintenance, inspection, and repair of underground mining machinery.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Travel to underground sites for on-site repairs and replacements.
• Conduct post-repair testing to meet safety standards.
• Interpret schematics and manuals for low voltage controls.
• Align and calibrate components to manufacturer specs.
• Ensure safety compliance and coordinate with team for improvements.
