You will diagnose, repair, and maintain mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems in challenging underground environments, traveling to sites as needed. Qualifications

• Minimum of two years' practical experience in underground or heavy equipment service roles.
• Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or one year of post-secondary technical education.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive Equipment Maintenance: Execute thorough maintenance, inspection, and repair of underground mining machinery, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal operational efficiency.
• Advanced Diagnostic Analysis: Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system issues.
• Field Service Expertise: Travel to underground mining sites to perform on-site repairs, timely component replacements, and system adjustments.
• Quality Assurance Testing: Conduct post-repair testing to verify equipment performance meets safety standards.
• Technical Documentation Utilization: Read schematics and manuals, especially for low voltage control systems.
• Mechanical Alignment: Align and calibrate motor couplings, transfer cases, gearboxes to specifications.
• Safety and Compliance: Follow safety protocols and regulatory requirements for underground environments.
• Collaboration and Communication: Report findings and solutions with supervisors and engineers.
