You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, perform timely on-site repairs, and support continuous production with a strong focus on safety and quality. Qualifications

• Underground or heavy equipment repair experience (2+ years).
• Completion of an accredited apprenticeship or one year of post-secondary technical education.
• Underground mining experience is desirable.
• Strong troubleshooting and maintenance skills for mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read manuals and schematics; safety-focused.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough maintenance, inspection, and repair of underground mining machinery to minimize downtime.
• Use diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Travel to underground sites for on-site repairs and component replacements to maintain production.
• Conduct post-repair testing to verify equipment performance and safety.
• Interpret schematics and manuals, especially low voltage control systems, for precise repairs.
• Align and calibrate motors, gearboxes, and related assemblies to spec.
