Formación

• Two years of underground or heavy equipment service experience with mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical repair.
• Completion of an accredited apprenticeship or one year of post-secondary technical education.
• Underground mining experience is preferred to understand safety protocols.
• Strong troubleshooting, repair, and reliability focus; able to read manuals and schematics.

Responsabilidades

• Perform thorough maintenance and repair of underground mining machinery to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using diagnostic tools.
• Travel to underground sites for on-site repairs and component replacements.
• Test equipment post-repair to ensure safety and performance standards.
• Interpret schematics and manuals, especially low voltage control systems.
• Align motor couplings, gearboxes, and related assemblies per specs.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements for underground work.
• Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to report findings and improve processes.
