Komatsu Mining Corp. is seeking an Underground Field Service Technician to maintain and repair underground mining equipment in challenging environments. You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems and perform on-site repairs to keep production flowing.

This role requires hands-on problem solving, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to read schematics. Training and career development are emphasized as part of Komatsu's commitment to employee growth.

Formación

• Minimum of two years' practical experience in underground or heavy equipment service roles.
• Completion of an accredited apprenticeship program or one year of post-secondary technical education in a related field.
• Preference for underground mining experience.
• Strong skills in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex machinery with an emphasis on reliability and safety.
• Ability to work in demanding underground conditions including limited visibility and confined spaces.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and safety documents.
• Willingness to engage in ongoing training and certification programs.

Responsabilidades

• Perform thorough maintenance, inspection, and repair of underground mining machinery.
• Utilize diagnostic tools to identify and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues.
• Travel to underground sites for on-site repairs and part replacements to maintain production.
• Conduct post-repair testing to verify equipment meets safety and manufacturer standards.
• Interpret schematics and manuals for low voltage control systems during repairs.
• Align and calibrate motor couplings, transfer cases, gearboxes per specs.
• Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements in underground environments.
• Collaborate with supervisors and engineers to report findings and implement improvements.
