Bon Secours is seeking a Protective Services Officer (Unarmed) for the St. Francis Eastside location. The role focuses on internal and external safety, including response to calls for routine and emergency assistance within a healthcare setting.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, BLS certification within 6 months, and SC licensure requirements with TASER training within 60 days. Prior security or law enforcement experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–2 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
• BLS Basic Life Support certification required within 6 months of hire.
• RSFH/SC licensure requirements (armed – TASER) within 6 months and TASER training within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Protect patients, visitors and employees by providing escorts and patrols.
• Deterrence of criminal activity through routine property patrols, including parking areas.
• Enforce hospital policies (parking, visitation, drug enforcement, tobacco-free policy).
• Monitor security systems and respond to incidents.
• Intervene in confrontations and document all duties and incidents.
