Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking an Unarmed Protective Services Officer for the Westchester Emergency Center. The role focuses on ensuring safety for patients, visitors, and staff, including escorts, patrols, and incident responses.

The officer participates in investigations and detentions as needed and responds to routine and emergency calls. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and BLS certification within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Basic word processing skills (Word).
• Proficiency with safety equipment and restraint tools.
• Strong radio communication, incident reporting, and access control documentation.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients, visitors and staff; patrol grounds and monitor safety.
• Deter criminal activity through routine patrols of hospital property.
• Enforce hospital policies (parking, visitation, drug, tobacco).
• Monitor CCTV and respond to escalating situations.
• Intervene in confrontations; document all duties and reports.
