Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health seeks a Protective Services Officer Unarmed for Fairfield Hospital to maintain safety for patients, visitors and staff. The role includes escorts, patrols, policy enforcement, and incident documentation.

Required are a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and BLS within 6 months. TASER licensure/training must be completed per RSFH guidelines within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Vocational/Technical Degree preferred.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• BLS Basic Life Support within 6 months of hire.
• RSFH licensure requirements for armed TASER within 6 months and TASER Training within 60 days.
• 1–2 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide escorts and patrol hospital grounds to ensure safety.
• Deters criminal activity through routine patrols of parking areas and decks.
• Enforce hospital policies (parking, visitation, tobacco, etc.).
• Monitor CCTV and respond to escalating situations.
• Intervene in confrontations and document incidents.
• Complete daily activity logs and incident reports.
