Job summary

Bon Secours in Greenville, SC is seeking a Protective Services Officer (Unarmed) to help safeguard patients, visitors and staff across hospital campuses. You will patrol facilities, monitor safety systems, escort individuals when needed, and respond to routine and emergency calls to maintain a secure environment.

Qualified candidates typically have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and relevant security experience; RSFH licensing requirements apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational/Technical degree preferred.
• Compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Protects patients, visitors and employees by providing escorts, patrolling grounds, and mitigating environment of care safety hazards.
• Deters criminal activity through routine patrols of hospital property to include parking lots and decks.
• Enforces policies e.g. parking regulations, visitation policies, drug enforcement, and tobacco free/smoking policy.
• Monitors hospital activity on closed circuit television to be alerted to any escalating situations that may require protective services involvement.
• Intervenes in patient, visitor and/or staff confrontations as appropriate and documents all duties performed in logs/reports.
