Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a Protective Services Officer Unarmed for Lourdes Hospital. The role supports internal and external safety, responds to emergencies, and coordinates with clinical teams to ensure a secure environment for patients, visitors and staff.

Essential duties include patrolling grounds, enforcing policies, documenting incidents, and using CCTV to monitor activity. The position requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, and relevant security experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required and BLS certification within 6 months.
• RSFH-specific licensure requirements and TASER training within 6 months.
• 1–2 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Protect patients, visitors and staff by providing escorts and patrols.
• Deter criminal activity through routine security checks of hospital property.
• Enforce hospital policies including parking, visitation, and smoking policies.
• Monitor CCTV and respond to safety incidents or escalations.
• Intervene in confrontations and document all duties in logs and reports.
• Collaborate with clinical teams and law enforcement as needed.
