Job summary

Bon Secours Protective Services is seeking a dedicated officer to ensure the safety of patients, visitors, and staff at our Virginia hospital on an evening shift. You will conduct escorts, patrol grounds, enforce policies, and respond to alarms in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and 1–2 years in security or related fields. BLS must be completed within 6 months of hire, with Non-Violent Crisis Intervention training

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• BLS Basic Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of hire.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• 1-2 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
• Non-Violent Crisis Intervention Training required within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide escorts, patrol grounds, and mitigate safety hazards to protect patients, visitors, and staff.
• Deter criminal activity through routine patrols of all hospital property including parking lots and decks.
• Enforce policies such as parking regulations, visitation, drug enforcement, and tobacco-free policies.
• Monitor activity via CCTV and respond to emergencies as needed.
• Intervene in confrontations and coordinate with clinical teams and law enforcement as necessary.
