Job summary

Bon Secours is seeking a Protective Services Officer Unarmed at St. Francis Downtown to support safety and security across facilities. You will respond to calls, patrol grounds, and participate in investigations as needed.

Responsibilities include escorting individuals, patrolling parking areas, and enforcing hospital policies while maintaining detailed incident reports for clinical teams and leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• BLS Basic Life Support from American Heart Association required within 6 months of hire.
• RSFH-specific licensure requirements (armed - TASER) within 6 months and TASER training within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Protects patients, visitors and employees by providing escorts and patrolling grounds.
• Deters criminal activity through routine patrols of hospital property including parking areas.
• Enforces policies such as parking, visitation, drug enforcement and tobacco policies.
• Monitors activity on closed-circuit television and responds to incidents.
• Intervenes in confrontations when appropriate and documents duties in logs/reports.
