Job summary

CACI International Inc. in Huntsville, AL is seeking a UAS Datalinks Engineer (Datalinks SME) to lead technical oversight for datalink systems, including modems, RF equipment, antennas, radomes, interfaces, protocols, software, waveforms, and EW-hardening techniques.

The role supports PM UAS and engages with NATO partners; limited telework is allowed. The candidate will coordinate across divisions, develop datalink strategies, and provide expert input on policy and technical direction to enhance

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• DoD SECRET security clearance required.
• Experience with UAS datalink systems, RF systems, or related mission systems.
• Experience with encryption, RF modeling, datalink standards, COMSEC, or TRANSEC.
• Ability to develop and provide reports to management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Ability to work on-site full time with limited telework eligibility.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate a UAS datalink strategy aligned with office objectives.
• Provide datalink SME support to PM UAS leadership and offices.
• Provide technical oversight for datalink system development, integration, qualification, and sustainment.
• Assess threat environment and impacts to RF systems.
• Coordinate with labs and development organizations including NSA and NATO.
• Make recommendations on policy and technical direction to protect Army UAS missions.
• Represent UAS in multiple forums, discussing technical and programmatic elements.
• Draft and review performance work statements for datalink systems.
• Communicate with contractors, engineers, logisticians, PMs, and business teams for aligned direction.
