Job summary

Offset Strategic Services, LLC (OSS) seeks a Senior Datalinks Engineer to lead datalink strategy and technical oversight for PM UAS. The role requires RF/datalink expertise, strong systems engineering judgment, and the ability to coordinate with government labs and product offices.

The position is primarily on-site in Huntsville, AL, with limited telework eligibility. The ideal candidate will drive modernization, interoperability, and secure communications for next‑generation UAS programs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical discipline.
Experience supporting complex technical systems or acquisition programs.
Strong understanding of RF, datalink, or related mission systems technologies.
Ability to independently investigate complex technical issues and develop technically sound recommendations.
Ability to present technical reports and briefings to management and senior leadership.
Willingness to travel up to 25% and work primarily on-site.

Responsibilities

Develop and coordinate a comprehensive UAS datalink strategy aligned with PM UAS objectives.
Serve as principal datalink technical advisor to PM UAS stakeholders.
Provide technical oversight for datalink system development, integration, and sustainment.
Evaluate RF equipment, antennas, modems, and encryption concepts for datalink systems.
Lead technical working groups and coordinate with government labs and external partners.
Plan, review, and document acquisition requirements and system upgrades.
