Job summary

PeopleTec is seeking a Senior Datalinks Engineer in Huntsville, AL to lead technical directions for UAS datalink systems. You will advise the Chief Engineer and PM UAS leadership, guiding development, integration, and sustainment of datalink capabilities across programs.

The role requires deep RF/datalink knowledge, strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders, and the ability to manage complex projects on-site in Huntsville, with occasional travel.

Qualifications

Experience in complex technical systems or acquisition programs.
Strong understanding of RF, datalink, or related mission-system tech.
Ability to investigate complex issues and provide sound recommendations.
Ability to prepare technical reports and briefings for senior leadership.
Excellent verbal and written communication, with stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

Develop and coordinate a comprehensive UAS datalink strategy aligned with PM UAS objectives.
Serve as principal datalink technical advisor to Chief Engineer and PM UAS stakeholders.
Provide technical oversight for datalink system development, integration, qualification, production, fielding, and sustainment.
Evaluate RF equipment, antennas, modems, waveforms, protocols, and encryption-related technologies.
Lead technical working groups and coordinate with government and industry partners.
