Job summary

i3 is seeking a Datalinks Engineer to support the PM UAS Technical Management Division in Huntsville, AL. This full-time, on-site role focuses on datalink system development, integration, qualification, and sustainment across modems, RF equipment, antennas, and related interfaces.

You will provide technical oversight, coordinate with laboratories and offices, assess RF threat environments, and help define policy and technical directions to protect UAS mission effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline required.
• DoD Secret clearance ability required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook).
• On-site, full-time with limited telework.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate a UAS datalink strategy aligned with office objectives.
• Provide datalink SME guidance to the Chief Engineer and PM UAS leadership.
• Oversee datalink system development, integration, qualification, and sustainment.
• Coordinate with laboratories and development organizations.
• Prepare and review Performance Work Statements for datalink tasks.
• Communicate with contractors and cross-functional stakeholders.
