Job summary
Offset Strategic Services seeks a Senior Datalinks Engineer to support the PM UAS Technical Management Division as its primary datalinks expert. This role requires autonomy across engineering and acquisition disciplines and the ability to lead through complex technical and organizational challenges.
The position is full-time and primarily on-site in Huntsville, AL, with limited telework. You will provide technical leadership for datalink strategy, system architecture, qualification, fielding,
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical discipline is required.
- Experience supporting complex technical systems, engineering programs, or acquisition programs.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to brief management and senior leadership.
- Ability to work primarily on-site, with limited telework eligibility and travel up to 25%.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate a comprehensive UAS datalink strategy aligned with PM UAS objectives.
- Serve as principal datalink advisor to PM UAS leadership and stakeholders.
- Provide technical oversight for datalink development, integration, qualification, and sustainment.
- Evaluate RF equipment, antennas, modems, cryptography, and related technologies.
- Lead technical working groups and coordinate with government labs, contractors, and product offices.
