Job summary

CACI International is seeking a UAS Tech | TMD Datalinks SME to provide technical leadership on datalink systems for UAS programs. The role requires DoD SECRET clearance, U.S. citizenship, and a technical degree, with hands-on experience in datalink, encryption, RF modeling, and EMI-hardening.

The position is full-time and on-site with limited telework, offering opportunities to collaborate with PM UAS and NATO partners while shaping datalink strategy across divisions.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required.
• DoD SECRET security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a hard science or technical discipline.
• Experience with UAS datalink/RF/communication systems.
• Experience with encryption, RF modeling, datalink standards, COMSEC/TRANSEC.
• Experience with modems, RF equipment, antennas, radomes, interfaces, software, waveforms, EMI/EMV/EW-hardening.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate a UAS datalink strategy aligned with office objectives.
• Provide datalink SME support to PM UAS leadership and special projects.
• Offer technical oversight for datalink development, integration, qualification, and sustainment.
• Support systems involving modems, RF equipment, antennas, radomes, interfaces, protocols, software, and waveforms.
• Assess threat environment and impacts to RF systems.
• Maintain awareness of UAS datalink capabilities and partner activities.
• Coordinate with labs and development orgs including NSA and NATO.
• Recommend policy changes and technical direction to protect UAS mission effectiveness.
• Represent UAS in forums; discuss technical and programmatic elements.
• Coordinate with government furnished information, production, and sustainment.
• Plan and execute upgrades and field issue resolutions.
• Draft and review Performance Work Statements for datalink tasks.
