Offset Strategic Services in Huntsville, Alabama seeks a Senior Datalinks Engineer to lead PM UAS datalink strategy and provide technical leadership across the enterprise. The role emphasizes RF, datalink, encryption, and systems engineering expertise, with collaboration across government labs, product offices, and external stakeholders.

The position is primarily on-site with limited telework, requiring strong communication skills and DoD-acquisition familiarity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• Experience supporting complex technical systems and acquisitions.
• Strong understanding of RF, datalink, encryption concepts (AES-256, COMSEC).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to brief leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate PM UAS datalink strategy and roadmap.
• Provide technical oversight for datalink system development, integration, and sustainment.
• Lead technical reviews, working groups, and acquisition forums.
• Evaluate RF equipment, antennas, modems, waveforms, and encryption aspects.
• Coordinate with government labs, contractors, and product offices.
• Support field issue resolution, upgrades, and modernization.
• Travel up to 25% as needed.
