Job summary

i3 is seeking a Datalinks Engineer to support the PM UAS Technical Management Division in Huntsville, AL. This full-time, on-site role provides technical oversight for UAS datalink systems, including modems, RF equipment, antennas, interfaces, software, and encryption.

You will collaborate with Army and contractor teams to align objectives and advance datalink capabilities. The ideal candidate holds a technical bachelor’s degree, U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to work on-site full-time with limited telework eligibility.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate a UAS datalink strategy.
• Provide datalink SME support to leadership and projects.
• Oversee datalink system development, integration, qualification, and sustainment.
• Coordinate with laboratories and development organizations.
• Plan and execute changes for upgrades or field issues.
• Prepare and review technical and acquisition documentation.
