Job summary

TPAPT is seeking experienced AP Instructors to tutor US students in grades 9-12 online. Ideal candidates are licensed teachers with AP teaching or tutoring background and strong communication skills.

Prior familiarity with AP World History or AP Human Geography is preferred, with a Bachelor’s degree and a passion for helping students succeed. Tutoring is conducted online, with sessions typically in the CST window; 3–12 hours per week are available, and there is potential for additional subjects.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and ability to tailor lesson plans.
• Experience with online lesson delivery.
• State teaching certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide AP Test Prep Tutoring to students in grades 9-12.
• Tutoring assignments are 60-90 minutes.
• Tutoring assignments will be regular and reliable.
• Tutoring sessions are scheduled between 3PM and 9PM CST on weekdays and 10AM–4PM CST on some weekend days.
• Availability of 3-12 hours per week.

TPAPT, a national nonprofit consortium of over 15,000 locally owned and operated tutoring & college advising programs, is seeking experienced AP Instructors to work with US students in grades 9-12. Tutors will work closely with students to understand their unique learning styles and create customized lesson plans that support their individual academic goals.

The ideal candidate is a licensed teacher who is passionate about education, exhibits strong communication skills, and has instructed or tutored this AP course for their high school in the past.

Classification: Contract

Compensation: $30-$35/hr

Location: Online

The Position:

• Provide AP Test Prep Tutoring to students in grades 9-12

• Tutoring assignments are 60-90 minutes

• Tutoring assignments will be regular and reliable

• Tutoring sessions are generally scheduled between 3PM and 9PM CST during the week and between 10am - 4pm CST for part of a weekend day.

• 3-12 hours per week of availability

• Earned Bachelor’s Degree

• Materials for the subject mentioned in the post
