Job summary

TPAPT offers AP tutoring through a national network of programs and seeks seasoned AP Instructors to support high school students online.

You will design customized lesson plans aligned with students’ goals, drawing on your background in AP physics and education to drive understanding and performance.

Qualifications

• Must have or be eligible for state teaching certification.
• Bachelor's degree required in a relevant field.
• Experience tutoring AP Physics or comparable AP course.

Responsibilities

• Provide AP Test Prep Tutoring to students in grades 9-12.
• Sessions last 60–90 minutes.
• Maintain regular, reliable tutoring assignments.
• Schedule sessions between 3 PM–9 PM CST on weekdays and some weekend hours.

Job description

TPAPT, a national nonprofit consortium of over 15,000 locally owned and operated tutoring & college advising programs, is seeking experienced AP Instructors to work with US students in grades 9-12. Tutors will work closely with students to understand their unique learning styles and create customized lesson plans that support their individual academic goals.

The ideal candidate is a licensed teacher who is passionate about education, exhibits strong communication skills, and has instructed or tutored this AP course for their high school in the past.

Tests: AP Physics

Classification: Contract

Compensation: $30-$35/hr

Location: Online

The Position

• Provide AP Test Prep Tutoring to students in grades 9-12
• Tutoring assignments are 60-90 minutes
• Tutoring assignments will be regular and reliable
• Tutoring sessions are generally scheduled between 3PM and 9PM CST during the week and between 10am - 4pm CST for part of a weekend day.

Requirements

• 3-12 hours per week of availability
• Earned Bachelor's Degree
• Materials for the subject mentioned in the post
• Exceptionally strong communication skills
• A passion for helping others learn
• Familiarity with online lesson delivery
• State teaching certification (current/former) and experience teaching the AP subject mentioned in this post preferred
