Job summary

TPAPT is seeking experienced AP Instructors to deliver AP test prep tutoring to high school students (grades 9-12) online from a remote, US-based setting. Instructors will tailor lessons to student needs, build customized plans, and work closely with students to meet individual academic goals.

The ideal candidate is a licensed teacher with prior AP course instruction or tutoring, strong communication skills, and a passion for helping students learn.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• State teaching certification preferred.
• Experience teaching AP World History or AP Human Geography.
• Familiarity with online lesson delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide AP Test Prep Tutoring to students in grades 9-12.
• Tutoring assignments are 60-90 minutes long.
• Tutoring assignments will be regular and reliable.
• Sessions scheduled primarily between 3PM–9PM CST on weekdays and 10AM–4PM CST on some weekends.

TPAPT, a national nonprofit consortium of over 15,000 locally owned and operated tutoring & college advising programs, is seeking experienced AP Instructors to work with US students in grades 9-12. Tutors will work closely with students to understand their unique learning styles and create customized lesson plans that support their individual academic goals.

The ideal candidate is a licensed teacher who is passionate about education, exhibits strong communication skills, and has instructed or tutored this AP course for their high school in the past.

Company: TPAPT Remote, US Central Time

Tests: AP World History or/and AP Human Geography

Classification: Contract

Compensation: $30-$35/hr

Location: Online

The Position

• Provide AP Test Prep Tutoring to students in grades 9-12
• Tutoring assignments are 60-90 minutes
• Tutoring assignments will be regular and reliable
• Tutoring sessions are generally scheduled between 3PM and 9PM CST during the week and between 10am - 4pm CST for part of a weekend day.

Requirements

• 3-12 hours per week of availability
• Earned Bachelor's Degree
• Materials for the subject mentioned in the post
• Exceptionally strong communication skills
• A passion for helping others learn
• Familiarity with online lesson delivery
• State teaching certification (current/former) and experience teaching the AP subject mentioned in this post preferred
