Job summary

TPAPT Remote, US Central Time, seeks experienced AP Instructors to work with US students in grades 9-12. Licensed teachers with AP course background preferred. You will tailor lesson plans to student learning styles and AP exam goals.

Qualifications

• Licensed teacher with AP teaching or tutoring experience.
• Strong communication skills and passion for helping students learn.
• Experience delivering AP test prep online.
• Familiarity with online lesson delivery platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide AP Test Prep Tutoring to students in grades 9-12.
• Tutoring sessions are 60-90 minutes each.
• Maintain regular and reliable tutoring assignments.
• Schedule sessions mainly 3PM–9PM CST on weekdays and some weekend hours.

Job description

TPAPT, a national nonprofit consortium of over 15,000 locally owned and operated tutoring & college advising programs, is seeking experienced AP Instructors to work with US students in grades 9-12. Tutors will work closely with students to understand their unique learning styles and create customized lesson plans that support their individual academic goals.

The ideal candidate is a licensed teacher who is passionate about education, exhibits strong communication skills, and has instructed or tutored this AP course for their high school in the past.

Classification: Contract

Compensation: $30-$35/hr

Location: Online

The Position

• Provide AP Test Prep Tutoring to students in grades 9-12
• Tutoring assignments are 60-90 minutes
• Tutoring assignments will be regular and reliable
• Tutoring sessions are generally scheduled between 3PM and 9PM CST during the week and between 10am - 4pm CST for part of a weekend day.

Requirements

• 3-12 hours per week of availability
• Earned Bachelor's Degree
• Materials for the subject mentioned in the post
• Exceptionally strong communication skills
• A passion for helping others learn
• Familiarity with online lesson delivery
• State teaching certification (current/former) and experience teaching the AP subject mentioned in this post preferred
