Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure vacant apartment homes meet quality standards for timely re-leasing in Houston, TX. You will perform make-ready work, repairs, and touch-ups to deliver market-ready units while following safety procedures and company guidelines.

You will assist with cleaning, painting, and grounds maintenance, support cost-control initiatives, and participate in routine safety trainings. This role requires flexibility for shifts and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Experience performing repairs and preventive maintenance on apartment communities.
• Ability to read and follow make-ready checklists and safety protocols.
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards for occupied units.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs and make-readies for vacant apartments per checklist.
• Caulk/seal around windows and fixtures and perform touch-ups as directed.
• Inspect drywall and perform repairs as needed.
• Maintain grounds and common areas; assist with cleaning and painting.
• Follow safety policies and participate in required trainings.
