Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to efficiently prepare vacant apartment homes for market. You will perform repairs, inspect for damage, and ensure proper sealing and finishing. The role requires attention to detail, safety compliance, and timely documentation.

You will support grounds and common areas, assist with scheduling, and contribute to a quality resident experience with responsive service. This is a full-time on-site position at Greystar properties.

Qualifications

• Experience performing repairs and maintenance in residential properties.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, and up to 50 pounds with assistance.

Responsibilities

• Completes all needed repairs and improvements to apartment homes prior to resident move-in by following the community’s make-ready checklist.
• Ensures apartment homes have caulked and sealed areas around windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers.
• Inspects sheetrock for damage and repairs or replaces as needed.
• Performs touch-up painting for vacant and occupied units as directed by Service Supervisor or Community Manager.
• Assists in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities; cleans and paints curbs and signage as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible and using materials efficiently.
• Completes make-ready checklist and maintenance documentation in a timely manner.
• Complies with safety policies and attends safety meetings; reports accidents promptly.
• Demonstrates customer service by addressing resident questions and completing work orders with urgency.
