Greystar in Houston is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure vacant apartment homes meet quality standards for market readiness. You will perform repairs, caulking, painting, and systematic make-ready tasks.

Responsibilities include completing checklists, maintaining grounds, and following safety policies while addressing resident questions with urgency. This full-time role offers comprehensive benefits and a flexible schedule.

Qualifications

• Completes make-ready repairs and improvements to apartment homes prior to resident move-in.
• Caulks and seals around windows, sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers.
• Inspects sheetrock for damage and repairs or replaces as needed.
• Performs touch-up paints for vacant and occupied units.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning and painting as needed.
• Supports cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing parts.
• Completes make-ready checklist and maintenance documentation.
• Follows Greystar safety policies and attends safety training.
• Provides courteous customer service to residents and responds to inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Completes all needed repairs and improvements to apartment homes prior to resident move-in by following the community’s make-ready checklist.
• Ensures apartment homes are caulked and sealed around openings as needed.
• Inspects sheetrock for damage and completes repairs or replacements.
• Performs touch-up paints for vacant and occupied units as directed by supervision.
• Maintains grounds and common areas, and assists with amenities.
• Supports cost-control by repairing instead of replacing when possible.
• Completes make-ready checklist and maintenance documentation on time.
• Adheres to safety policies and participates in OSHA training.
• Provides good customer service by addressing resident questions and complaints.
