Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Maintenance Technician to prepare vacant apartment homes for market, performing repairs, caulking, painting, and inspections. This role supports cost controls and adheres to safety guidelines while delivering responsive service to residents.

Responsibilities include completing make‑ready checklists, maintaining units and common areas, and coordinating with supervisors to ensure timely turnover. Strong customer communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience performing repairs and make‑ready tasks on apartment homes.
• Ability to perform caulking, painting, and minor repairs.
• Familiar with safety policies and OSHA training.

Responsibilities

• Completes repairs and improvements to apartment homes prior to move‑in.
• Ensures caulking and sealing around windows, sinks, toilets, baths.
• Inspects sheetrock for damage and repairs as needed.
• Performs touch‑up painting for vacant and occupied units.
• Maintains grounds and common areas; cleans and paints as needed.
• Supports cost‑cutting by repairing rather than replacing parts.
• Completes make‑ready checklist and maintenance documentation.
• Complies with safety policies and attends required training.
• Demonstrates customer service by addressing resident questions and complaints.
