Job summary

D2 Technical Services seeks a Junior Cloud Operations and Customer Support Engineer to join our CORE team in Springfield, VA (onsite). You’ll help maintain cloud infrastructure, ensure high availability, and deliver top-tier customer support to our intelligence customer.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in IT and 2+ years in cloud operations, with AWS and Linux proficiency, and experience with DevOps, CI/CD (GitLab CI, Nexus). You’ll document procedures and collaborate across engineering teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field and 2+ years IT experience focusing on cloud operations and customer support.
Proficiency in AWS cloud services and Linux distributions (e.g., RedHat, CentOS).
Experience delivering customer-focused technical support and strong troubleshooting abilities.
Knowledge of DevOps practices, Agile/Scrum, and CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Nexus).
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Proactively manage and maintain cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.
Respond to and resolve customer issues, providing top-tier technical support and customer service.
Collaborate with engineering teams to support user consumption of applications in a complex enterprise cloud environment.
Monitor applications to identify and address performance or availability issues.
Continuously assess application infrastructure for scalability and performance improvements.
Develop and maintain detailed documentation for application support procedures.
