TravelCenters of America is seeking a Truck Service Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in leading the Truck Service department nationwide. You will help lead technicians through troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy trucks and trailers, while maintaining a safe, customer-focused environment.

You will recruit, train, and manage staff, foster teamwork, and drive revenue and profit through effective operations and excellent service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or GED) required; Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Supervisory experience in convenience store, truck service, travel center, or related business activity preferred.
• Knowledge and understanding of the Truck Service business preferred.
• Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.
• A valid driver's license required.

• Be a leader and inspire your team to meet and exceed company performance standards and improve the Truck Service department.
• Develop a trusting atmosphere and coach staff according to company policy; performance manage.
• Recruit, hire, train and retain high-quality team members and recognize achievements.
• Assist in leading technicians through troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy duty trucks and trailers.
• Conduct visual inspections to ensure products and services are available.
• Help achieve financial objectives through effective management of people, product, service, and facility processes.
