TravelCenters of America is hiring a Truck Service Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in leading the Truck Service department. You will guide technicians in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy duty trucks and trailers, ensuring top-notch customer service and operational efficiency.

The role emphasizes leadership, team development, and coaching, with a focus on safety, profitability, and service excellence.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Supervisory experience in truck service, travel center, or related business activity is preferred.
• Exhibit excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the Truck Service team to meet and exceed performance standards.
• Coach and performance manage staff according to company policy.
• Recruit, hire, train and retain high-quality team members.
• Assist in leading technicians through troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy duty trucks and trailers.
• Ensure availability of products and services through regular inspections.
• Contribute to achieving financial objectives through effective management of people, product, service and facility processes.
