Job summary

TravelCenters of America is seeking a Truck Service Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in leading the Truck Service department across our network. You will guide technicians through troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing heavy duty trucks and trailers while maintaining a focus on customer service and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will have leadership experience in truck service or travel centers, strong communication skills, and a flexible schedule

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Supervisory experience in truck service, travel center, or related business preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and some holidays.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Truck Service team to meet and exceed performance standards.
• Coach and manage staff according to company policy.
• Recruit, hire, train and retain high-quality team members.
• Assist technicians in troubleshooting and repairing heavy duty trucks and trailers.
• Ensure availability of products and services and manage safety standards.
